HORSE OF COURSE

Our shop is located in Bozeman, Montana at the base of the Spanish Peaks on Highway 191. In the Gallatin Valley we are blessed with a bounty of inspiration. There is still a large agricultural constituent in our valley and we can still escape to places within a few miles of our shop where we can ride in fields that look like this:

Like every spectacular place, places to ride are shrinking. I have been researching locations in Montana, Idaho and Wyoming that are horse friendly. Not all national parks and forests encourage horses and riding, and it's nice to find and know about trails that are for horses and foot traffic only.
Soon, we will have a page "take your horse", that will be dedicated to taking your horse on a spectacular ride. Check back often and see what we have discovered.

The University of Montana Western and Montana State University along with private arenas and organizations feature events that are of interest to horse owners. The Annual Horse is a calendar of events page for western Montana horse activities.

Breeds We Love is dedicated to research about the history and characteristics of horse breeds that are an enduring part of our American horse culture. This site will be constantly growing based on blogs and suggestions from our patrons. We are going to attempt to find obscure facts and include personal stories from owners about the relationships they have with their horses. I am starting this site with the Missouri fox trotter. Legends is a site that will be growing as we have time and as we receive contributions from patrons about famous horses in history, from the race track to city streets pulling fire wagons and walking into art and archeology with the horses ridden by warriors noblemen and knights.
